There is nothing authentic about this place. Lo mien noodles are not interchangeable with linguini noodles. Hot and sour soup should be spiced with chili oil not white pepper. Fast delivery is the only upside I can offer

Really, really bad. I was so excited to be walking distance from a Chinese restaurant at my new house, but was seriously disappointed after trying this place out. Food was soggy and flavorless. They must have really gone down hill, because past reviews from years ago are glowing. Bummer.

I love Hunan House! I am super picky about Chinese food and this place never disappoints me, ever. I will judge you based on your sweet and sour chicken. I know it's a boring terrible dish, but I love it. Though, it is not my favorite dish at this restaurant. My favorite dish is the Szechuan Vegetable Delight add chicken. Oh sweet mother of perfectness. This dish has a nice variety of veggies including broccoli, onion, pea pods, bamboo shoots, water chestnut, carrot and zucchini plus the added chicken. Man they put the perfect amount of spicy in this dish. I'm not dying, but I get the kick in the back of my throat. Get the crab rangoon! You get six pieces for $3.35! Another favorite of mine is the Hot Braised Boneless Chicken. The Hot and Sour soup as well as the Egg Drop Soup are yummy. An old coworker used to order the Egg Foo Young every time we had lunch here and loved it. The lunch specials are good and more than enough food for one person. You can choose from about twenty entrees and the special includes an egg roll, soup and fried rice for about $5.00. I opt for steamed rice. Now one to my least favorite options on the menu. I do not like the fried rice, it's too salty. I also am not a fan of the egg rolls. But, other than that I love this place. Try it, you might like it!

Waited 1.5 hours for delivery before I gave up and cancelled my order. Delivery never showed and they never said why. I asked them to refund my card since I never received the food and they eventually said they would. They did not, so now I have to make a claim with my credit card company.

Hands down the best Chinese is St. Charles. Love their crabrangoo and their special called The Sizzling Three Musketeers. Absolutely delicious!!! We have been going to Hunan House since I was a little girl. Now my friends and husband love this place. Want to get chinese? Hunan House, of course!

I am very picky about my Chinese food (especially places that aren't PF Changs) and this place is amazing! I normally come for lunch, will walk in order my food and within 10 minutes I have my food handed to me in a bag and I'm ready to walk out the door. The food is piping hot, crispy, and delicious! What more can you ask for? Best Chinese I have found in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone without a doubt.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
